For sure there will be plenty of warm cookies – a local delicacy. The exact date is Dec 15, 1980 , and just several days before Beaver Creek is going to host the Alpine World Cup competitions, this year under the name Audi Birds of Prey Men’s World Cup.
The race includes the Premier Event – Men’s Downhill on Friday ( Dec 3 ), the Super G on Saturday, followed by a Giant Slalom on Sunday. You will be able to free watch the event, and from the US team side are expected to take part the Olympic gold medalists Ted Ligety and Bode Miller.
Three mountains and so three villages : Beaver Creek Village with ice rink, ski school in Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead Village with condominiums and Broken Arrow restaurant.
The visitors certainly will enjoy the shopping center in town of Edwards, and delightfull food in nearby town of Avon. The zone is perfectly prepared for skiers of every skill, the restaurants, spa and private luxury accommodation make Beaver Creek the high top winter resort.
The ski area is perfectly prepared, almost constantly groomed and receives enormous amount of sun that shines here over 300 days a year. The snowboard lowers can test their skills in four snowparks and on one halfpipe.
