With 3,132 acres of terrain Snowmass is not only the biggest out of four ski areas in Aspen, but the largest in the hole country. Located in the shade of Maroon Bells the most photographed mountain in US, 91 trails promise a perfect family winter holiday, but also the place for most advanced skiers.

The largest municipality Snowmass Village has been founded around 1910 as a small ranch settlement in The Brush Creek Valley. When the idea of the opening of ski resort arose in 1966, the name of a villlage and so the ski area was changed from Brush Creek to Snowmass, a name of the nearby mountain. The village is located within a few miles from Aspen, and there is a possibility to ski in all four ski areas while overnight in Snowmass.
